Anupam Singh

Anupam is the founder & cao of Proxima Wealth Partners and an experienced executive with over 15 years of experience in private wealth, capital markets and asset management.

Prior to founding Proxima, Anupam spent nearly 10 years at Raymond James in a variety of leadership roles. Most recently, he led the continuous evolution and development of Raymond James’ fee-based platform that services its private wealth channel. He was responsible for the ideation and creation of Raymond James’ custom UMA platform and its evolution into a robust and competitive platform that gathered over $20B in assets within 3 years of inception. He also led Raymond James’ tie-up with 55ip, a JP Morgan subsidiary to introduce tax-management overlay solutions over Raymond James’ Mutual Fund & ETF portfolios, and over the SMA platform. He joined the firm in 2016 as an Assistant to the Chairman where he worked directly with Tom James (former Chairman), Paul Reilly (Executive Chairman), Paul Shoukry (CEO), and other members of Raymond James’ Board of Directors and Executive Committee on various strategic, financial, operational, and leadership initiatives. Prior to Raymond James, he worked at Merrill Lynch in Fixed Income Capital Markets where he was responsible for the continuous evolution and development of pricing and trading systems supporting Merrill Lynch’s Fixed Income and Bond Markets divisions.

Anupam received his MBA from University of Virginia, Darden School of Business in 2016. He received his Master’s degree in Computer Science from Stony Brook University in 2011 and Bachelor’s degree, also in Computer Science from Amity University in 2009, where he graduated at the top of his class and was the recipient of performance-based merit scholarship for the entirety of his studies. 

Anupam is an active member of the Tampa Bay community. He previously served as the Chair of Emerging Professional Inclusion Network at Raymond James, which aims to support and foster professionals who want to expand their network, polish their professional skills and plan ahead in their careers. Previously, he also served as the Treasurer of the Indo-US Chamber of Commerce, an organization dedicated to providing a forum for and in support for Asian American professionals and business owners who want to expand their professional network and support the Tampa Bay community. 

Anupam resides in Tampa, FL with his loving wife, Ishita and their son Ojas (4). He loves to spend quality time with his family and coaches Ojas in soccer and baseball. He also loves to travel with his family, especially to the mountains and counts North Carolina, Vermont and New Hampshire as his favorite destinations in the United States and Switzerland as his favorite destination in Europe.
